From 2007 to 2014, Michaela Ferreira worked as a lawyer at the Cologne-based law firm Geyr, Hintz & Partner, which specializes in insurance and liability law. She has been a specialist lawyer for traffic law since 2013.

At this time, she was already maintaining very good business relations with Portugal, in particular with Portuguese banks and their business clients, together with the lawyer Florian Geyr. Ms. Ferreira discovered her interest in German-Portuguese business relations during an internship abroad at the German-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce Abroad in Lisbon, and in the years that followed, she became a member of the board of the German-Portuguese Industry and Trade Association. 

In 2014, Ms. Ferreira founded the Bonn-based law firm Ferreira & Lang together with her colleague Mr. Lang.

Her practice focuses on medical and medical law as well as employment, tenancy and traffic law. For Portuguese-speaking clients, Ms. Ferreira offers bilingual legal advice, particularly in international inheritance and family law, and cooperates with law firms in Lisbon, Porto and Viseu.

Ms. Ferreira has been running the law firm under her own name since January 2026.

It continues the proven practice with a new focus: competent legal support with personal assistance - reliable, committed and at eye level.
